-Preparation time: No specific preparation time needed -Digitization procedure: It is one of the most time consuming technique. First, the panels have to be placed precisely in order to have an even illumination of all the speciment. Second, the correct exposure time for each wavelengths has to be set prior to the capture. Finally, 3D multispectral is time consuming has the system isn't automated to take the pictures for all the wavelengths for one position, filters need to be change according to the wavelenght. -Image analysis: The image analysis can take a lot of time, from minutes till days, depending on the requirements
-Digitization procedure: The system itself will take a picture for each selected wavelength, but filters have to be switched manually. -Image analysis: depending on the analysis the computational time can be high, up to several hours.
