These specimens should be imaged using plain studio photography techniques. In essence they are too heavy or too large to be placed in a imaging tent/box or cabinet. If the specimens are still fairly easy transported, they can be imaged in a photography studio using large studio (speed)lights. If not backdrops should be used in the storage rooms or exhibition. Typically the equipment used consists of DSLR or mirrorless camera, wide angle or fixed focal lens, studio lights or powerful speedlights and backdrops in different colors to create an even background. |
